The Williard Law Firm, L.P. was formed by Steve M. Williard in 2002 after determining that his clients could be better served by devoting his individual attention to his clients’ matters.

Steve M. Williard concentrates his practice in business transactions, real estate, probate and commercial litigation. Mr. Williard’s practice includes negotiating and closing sales and acquisitions of buinesses; entity formation; buy-sell agreements, employment contracts; joint ventures; real estate sales and acquisitions; and tax planning for businesses. Mr. Williard also has a strong concentration in business litigation both at the state and federal levels and has presented oral arguments before the Texas Supreme Court and Court of Appeals. Mr. Williard also represents taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service, United States Tax Court and the United States District Courts. In addition, Mr. Williard also practices in the area of Texas state and local taxation, including sales and use tax, franchise tax and property tax matters.

Mr. Williard received his Master of Laws in Taxation (LL.M. Taxation) and his Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from the University of Houston, his Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law (JD), and his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania, majoring in finance. Mr. Williard has been a certified public accountant in the State of Texas since 1989.

Mr. Williard is a member of the American Bar Association, Texas Bar Association, ouston Bar Association and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
